I am installing an '81 L-Jet on my '70 E9 and I desperately need a wiring diagram for the 528i donor car to complete the project. All the hardware is installed, I just need to:

1. Hook up the forward section of the engine harness (i.e.from main relay to battery, alt, then to distributor, coil, resistor, etc); and

2. Splice the wires into my coupe electrical system.

There is a section of the forward engine harness I cant figure out: after hooking up to the relay, battery, alternator, and then over to the coil, distributor, resistor, etc there is still a female connector to hook up. It separates from the main harness at the same point as the battery cable. What does this hook up to?

Any help will be appreciated. If someone can email the diagrams to pelco67@yahoo.com or fax them to 213-621-5324 I will be extremely grateful.

good chance that it is a plug for some option or another. probably goes to nothing. my car has the same plug. just hanging there.
