hello-

I'm currently swapping the drivetrain/brakes/suspension from an e21 323i to my e21 320is. Having just recently taken a closer look at the speedometer in the euro 323i, I discovered that it read in 140 mph and not 140kph. Someone suggested that the speedometers in the e12's were 140mph and may have been installed when the 323i was federalized. Can anyone confirm this, or better yet, have a photo of their speedometer?

Also, can I infer from the post below that a standard e12 came with a 3.45 rear end? The 323i also has 3.45, thus making the speedometer accurate. Thanks a lot.
