I'm tired of messing with points. Is there a decent electronic ignition I can bolt onto this thing?

You should be able to bolt in a 79-81 E12 transistor ignition system into an earlier car. You'll need the distributor,ignition module and resistors along with the harness.... .

The only concern is wiring the ignition correctly into the earlier harness......

Post on Firstfives.org when you have the parts and I'm sure you'll get the wiring info needed...
