What is the difference between 72-8/76 & 9/76-81 rear strut's on a E-12 ?????

If I remember correctly on the later E12's the location and geometry of the rear swing arm mount were changed to allow for more travel. That means the actual measurement of the rear shocks would be different. Be sure to get the right ones for your car.
