Even more important than the price, would be to ask if that car has the original cyl. head and thermal reactor. I have a 76 530 silver/blue, that I would be embarassed to tell you what I paid for it. Mine had 21,000 miles on it, but the head was cracked, trans needed rebuilt, and a host of misc. things. The head job was $3500, trans was $1000, misc. other stuff was about another $3000, but, I do love the car, and I took second place in the Pittsburgh Vintage grand prix car show among about 50 BMWs.There is currently a 76 530i on ebay (for 1 more day), and the top bid is $1275.00. The car appears to be pretty clean, with a really nice tan leather interior. Look under BMW and go to "Other Models" to view, or just type in BMW 530 in the search section, and you should be able to find it. I love my 530, but many club members have indicated that the 80/81 528i is a superior model.
