528e caught fire!!!! (archive)

I have an 83 528e and it caught fire the other day. Here's the real problem... the car doesn't have fire insurance and I don't know what to do with it now. Other than the wires under the hood and the hood it's self, the car is mint. Any suggestions as to what I should do with it. would it be worth trying to piece off, or to try and sell "as is" for a project or track car? Does anyone know if there is anything BMW can do (recalls or anything)???
