I work for a fast lube oil change company and it is highly reccomended that no matter what car you have, or how often you drive it, that you change your oil and filter every 3 thousand miles or 3 months.(whichever comes first) We see many cars come in that are only a couple thousand miles over the reccomended intervals and the oil is in BAD shape. Because your car is new, the oil in it wont begin to show signs that it needs to be replaced, but you really should take it in. BMW's have oil lights that go on when your oil change is reccomended. (theres a little "gadet" they use to turn it off.) The actuall reccomended interval for your car is 10,000. But in the long run your saving yourself alot of problems that result from extended oil changes. BMW's are great cars, but that does not mean they have the ability to clean dirty oil and deposits that form over time. Good luck with your car. Im jelous! If you have any questions feel free to email me......thanks
