They will work fine. Its just a pull-n-swap deal w a little wiring. They do NOT weigh more and are much faster/stronger its a popular upgrade...go to www.firstfives.org great site.

I just bought a 1980 528i. The engine is blown. Will any other engines maybe from a 535i or 735i fit? I'm talking just the bare block and head. I'll swap the old fuel injection. Or do I have to go with just the same 2.8 liter?
Any help would be appreciated.
