What the differences between an American version of the 3.5 and a Euro 3.5 in 1980? Horse Power? Compression ratio? Camshaft? Head ports? Valves?

Found a 1980 Euro 635csi in junk yard for cheap and complete. Could use it in my E12? Any comments and thoughts are welcome.
