Have had a number of e12's. Rear wheel arches are rust susceptible even on the West Coast. Have had two out of California with rust at either 10 or 2 o'clock on the upper side of the rear arches. Just last week, looked at an '80 out of So California (Now in Oregon). Saw a 2 inch blister on the passenger arch and passed. Too many good one's out there, still. One of my cars came out of SF with fresh paint. Two years later.... rust blisters on rear arch. Point made? Look close.Personally prefer 80-81. Best years I have experienced.
