A dark blue 1980, with tan (leather?) interior, which I'd like to buy. Here're my impressions, what do you think?

Engine/ Drivetrain:
Smooth pulling engine (valves need adjustment, though). Injectors were replaced recently. The odometer read 107,000 miles. SUpposedly, most of them were highway miles. Very notchy 5 speed tranny (short shifter kit was installed). Shocks and tyres are new (Bilsteins). The car felt firm and in control. Little roll. Good brakes.

Interior:
Seats were quite worn. The dash was cracked. The fuel gauge was not functional. Sunroofed, with electric window lifts (all work). The AC blew cold air. The stereo had been removed, leaving a gaping hole. The wood on the panels looked worn. Not too impressed with the wear in the interior. central locking seemed lethergic, and wouldn't lock/unlock all doors.

Exterior:
Rust in the usual places. A little bondo here and there. Paint looks okay, not much cracking, except where the rust broke out in the front fender area.

Electricals:
The aux cooling fan failed (and blew fuses) as soon as I completed the test drive, needing replacement. Minor electric gremlins (bad connectors in passenger-side taillights -- a little jiggling of the bulbs brought the connectors back to life).

And finally:
What do you think? Is $1500 too much to pay? I quite like the car...
