They might be related. A serious vacuum leak in the engine, like main seal or valve cover gasket will cause the intake to suck some oil thru the vent tube on the valve cover. Any vacuum leak will cause the engine to idle poorly and have weak transition off idle. So that's probably where you have. Start with the easy stuff replace valve cover gasket and the vent tube that connects to the bottom of the throttle. May as well adjust the valves while you're at it.

The other day I had the #6 intake tube off and noticed that there was a lot of oil in the intake ( like
1/8 inch ). Also sometimes when starting out from a stop light when engine warm the car will lug like
you were starting in third on fourth. Can someone give me any advice as to where the oil might be
coming from, and if that may be related to the lugging problem
