Help....Stop me before I buy again!! (archive)

Actually, helping out a young college student. He has my outstanding offer of $1000 for this car in 30 days. However, I do not really need the car. He just got it and knows nothing about it, except that he wants to get rid of it.

5 speed
Straight, Rust-Free, Central Oregon car
Delphin Grey (so, obviously, the clear coat is shot)
New carpets, black, look good
Red Leather, faded and top of back seat is cooked
220,000 miles, but runs quiet and sound
drives good and no wander
will need brake job soon-- rotors look grooved
Complete car
Central door locks work
All windows work
Sunroof two-way, works and timed right

This car is one of those rust-free cars that I rant about, and is poised for excellent restoration. I told the young fellow he can get $1000 for it. As it stands, he can, because I will give him that much in 30 days.

If anyone is interested in the meantime, feel free, please. I have too many projects right now, but I will not pass on this car if it is still available in a month.
