Roman;

When I removed the thermals, I also did away with the air pump, and EGR. Bavaria exhaust manifolds are commonly used as replacements for the reactors.(check out the FAQ section on First Fives.org)I was going to use them, but I found an unused set of Stahl headers for $200+ shipping. The car now has better throttle response & notably increased mid range (from 3,000to 4,500 rpm. However, there seems to be a little loss of low end torque. I have a set of 320i intake runners going on this Friday which I hope will put back the low end punch.

I've just acquired a 78 530i and was reading through the message board and found a comment about a 'dreaded thermal reactor". What is this and why is the 528i better as suggested.

Thanks Roman
