could u explain that more? i only know of one large black battery line running into the starter...which are the ones u are recommending me to jump?


sounds like your starter hasn a bad solenoid,..try "hot-wiring" it by jumping the ignition and battery posts at the starter.....if all you get is the "clank".......then in all likelihood its time to r&r your starter......


hello! my E12 (which i love dearly) wont start! all power devices work,but upon turning the key in the ignition, it clicks and sounds like a metal-on-metal "clank". i am thinking it is the starter (ignition coil, battery wont exhibit these symptoms)...anyone know? i had it towed at one point and shortly after, it started, but an hour later, same problem!! any help would be very appreciated.
