Guages that read actual pressure are inexpensive. Pull the sensor and hook in a real oil pressure guage, either exclusively or with a T fitting. run the line through any hole in the firewall, or out the hood and in through the window. This way you can get real readings and monitor for time to get up to pressure on startup, hot and cold, pressure at idle and various RPM's. All that information will tell you a lot about the pump/bearings. Consistent low oil pressure can be pump, or main bearings passing too much oil. I wouldn't count on blocked passages.

I wouldn't think the worst without real readings, since it could easily be in the pressure reading system.
