4-spd manuals will be just as high-revving on the highway as autos. (i dont know about 4-spd autos) naturally a manual is more fun. i live in a mountainous area where hills are awful and ppl go thru clutches like underwear, so i am somewhat happy to have an auto. flatter areas may not even care about this....
