I need some opinion / advise / food for thought / oxygen to the brain ..... for an E9 conversion.

What is the difference between EURO 3.5L and U.S. 3.5L engines?
Did the EURO 3.5L come in different versions? And if it did, which year was the best performing engines, any HP or torque figures?
