wow, i love to see everyone come together in support of the cars they love. and all these posts remind me (and probably everyone else) of why they enjoy owning their own E12's.

i still cant exactly put my finger on it. i look at mid-90's BMW's and they just dont generate the thrill i get from my E12. nostalgia? no, i was born 2 years before my car came out :) but there is most definitely something about this car, its uniqueness, in driving characteristics as well as appearance, that just does something to you. all the explanations are very sound, but it is in the homogeneity of them that we enjoy the E12's.

for me, alot of it is the sound of that 6-cyl. my car is stock, and it still sounds awesome. :)
