I'm guessing the E-12's are no different, they use the rubberized horsehair and your padding is probably old and brittle. Your best bet is to remove the seat, and then you can add padding 2 ways; you can remove the material ( vinyl, leather, cloth) or you can just tip the seat so you can see the seat bottom and wedge some padding between the springs. If you remove the material, you'll be able to put in a nice full section, you can use high density foam, 2" thick or so or try get a molded foam section. Along the edge of the seat frame are pointy tabs that the seat material hooks on to, they are sharp, pointy, and may be a little rusty so be a little careful. Bend those back, all the way around the seat bottom and then you can pull back the seat material off of them, remove the old padding, vacuum all the old crumbling rubberized horsehair up and then cut a piece of foam the area of the seat bottom. If you don't want to remove the material, you can wedge in extra padding between the springs but you'll have to cut the padding up in order for the pieces to fit in between the springs. New rubberized horsehair pads are available from World Upholstery or 2002AD, both places are in California, but the new oem horsehair pads are not cheap, over $100.00 a section, try high density foam or a molded poly/foam, best of luck, happy holidays,
Tim.
