retrofitting an E28 rear subframe in an E12 car? (archive)

Hi,

Has anyone tried retrofitting an E28 rear subframe in an E12 car? I've got an extra E28 rear subframe and limited slip differential and was thinking about trying it in my e12. As a matter of fact, it's much easier to find the later type differential in different ratio's including limited slip than the earlier E12 kind.
