His name is, Michel Darbellay, darbellay_michel@hotmail.com

He has been selling to US BMW guys and not delivering the products.

Let get together and give him hell.

What evidence that he is not delivering the goods via ebay? And don't they have a complaint department to go to?

The only gripe I see you've mentioned is your friend the bought a supposed Hartge engine for dirt cheap without verifying beforehand. Seems alittle strange to start with....

Could it be the engine came out of a Hartge H5S car and somwhere along the road (before the seller purchased and parted the car) the head was changed? Is that the sellers fault? Has the engine serial ## or anything else been verified with Hartge? The story you state is a bit confusing.. like they couldn't tell.

As when buying anything used "let the buyer beware!"is a good motto. Many people misrespresent used autos and parts for sale (and many times it's out of ignorance). How often have you looked at a "show room condition" car for cheap only to find out it's not what was advertised? Every day! Or that euro BMW that was really a US spec car. Or that cheap M5 that is really a 535is...... etc

I think you need to state more of what's really going on if you want people to back you up. There are usally two sides to any story. I for one have had very nice emails in the past with the seller you mention... although I have never purchased anything from him.

PS: Yes, I too have been burned on ebay.... Who's fault is that? My own. The deal was too good to be true, and therefore it was.
