Although, I agree with you Frank, that this guy should have been more careful about an engine that's advertised as Hartge, but has no visual indications to support that claim, I too have had dealings with Michel. Well, only one dealing and it was relatively minor, but not a smooth transaction.

I purchased my euro 528i grill badge from him on ebay a few months ago. He accepted US currency for the item, and he said with shipping it would be $9 US. I sent him a $10 bill just to round it off. Its only $10 but still I didnt' have to send him $1 extra. I wanted to make sure it was sent airmail since I airmailed the money to him and it arrived in one week. After all this is a small, lightweight grill badge, airmail should have been super cheap. He mails it and tells me it was sent airmail to me. Lo and behold, after several emails from me announcing I have not received it and that I'm annoyed and Michel stating that its probably the US mail being slow, the item arrives, 5 weeks after it was sent. It was NOT sent airmail, despite is promise.

I didn't leave negative feedback on ebay because it was a relatively minor item. And I did eventually receive it, which isn't deserving of negative feedback. Sorry Michel, you seem like a nice guy through email, and you drive an E12 Alpina B7S which makes me like you even more. But I'll strongly reconsider before I ever buy something from you on ebay again.

I think you need to state more of what's really going on if you want people to back you up. There are usally two sides to any story. I for one have had very nice emails in the past with the seller you mention... although I have never purchased anything from him.

PS: Yes, I too have been burned on ebay.... Who's fault is that? My own. The deal was too good to be true, and therefore it was.
