The Speedo cable is in two sections -- from the transmission to a mileage counter that sets the light to replace the oxygen sensor (left front subframe below the firewall) and from that box to the instrument panel. first check to be sure all connections are secure. If they are, try turning the instrument end of the cable end of the cable to see if it's broken. Speedo cables do break some times. You just have two short cables on this car instead of one long one.
