I, too, had my original radiator fixed (small leak soldered, boiled, pressure tested, painted) all for $45 at a local behind-the-house shop in Georgia. Installed new fan, water-pump, new temp. sensor seal (metal O-ring - important for no leaks) and my guage doesn't go above 1/3. Original is fine even if you have to get it recored for a bit more money.
