Hello

Regarding the fellow who felt he was ripped off, You stated that the Hartge motor you were buying was supposed to have 230 HP, or 12 HP more than the stock Euro 3.5....

At the time that motor was produced was Hartge producing its own internal engine parts? Could that HP be accounted for by Timing, Intake or Exhast Mods? I have a motor from my race car that I am confidant makes around 230-240HP and it has flat tops. Was the head decked? Ports opened? It seems like you would have saved yourself time, money if you had done more homework. As far as sueing for expenses, you said you used you Dad's company car, what are you trying to gain here? Anytime you buy a used engine that you have not seen run you are taking a chance. Even if you see it run it could blow the next day. Have you priced a 3.5 euro motor from BMW? What about from Hartge? You probably got what you paid for and the reason he quit returning calls/emails is he got tired of hearing from you.

just my .02
