As I said, I would appreciate if someone can measure the outside diameter of the E12 528i strut cases. I need this is assist with building coilovers for a track car I am contemplating building.

As I also said in the clarifying post, I don’t have the 528i with me – I am in another city and I would like to pick up the coil-over components before I head off home. If I find the diameter out today I can get the threaded sleeve for the coilovers and start this week end, otherwise I have to wait until I can measure them myself and then I have to wait until the compoments are shipped in.

Surely someone with a set of calipers can measure the strut diameter,
