As I said, I would appreciate if someone can measure the outside diameter of the E12 528i strut cases. I need this is assist with building coilovers for a track car I am contemplating building.

As I also advised (in the clarifying post), I am not in the same town as the 528i.

I would like to pick up the threaded sleeve for the coilovers and get a start on it this weekend. Otherwise I have to measure the strut myself and wait until the threaded sleeve is freighted to my home before I can start.

Can anyone with a set of calipers bend down and measure the strut for me.
