81 Euro M30 528i performance upgrades? (archive)

I'm looking for information on upping the performance of my M30 Euro motor. It's in an E28, but is an E12 style engine, with small vertical distributor. I haven't found a great deal of concrete information on adding hp to this configuration. What cams, computers, etc. have been used in E12's with success?
