It should be the same as upgrades for any pre-motronic M-30 engine, cam, compression ratio, ported head, headers and of course displacement! Even a low compression 3.5 or a higher compression 3.3 out of a motronic car will give you a little more power and a lot more torque. I don't think you have to give the control unit much thought, the more modern chips basically just crank in more advance which you can do with the conventional distributor.
