02 guy w/ E-12 questions.cost/rust free car.... (archive)

I found a rust free California car in Connecticut. Usual story, car is at a shop, Cali tags expired in June of 95, odometer reads 109xxx.I had an 81 528i before my 02 and have always loved these cars. My questions: Give or take, what is a 'rust free' car worth in New England? Where can I get, and how much does an automatic transmission cost for these cars, the transmission for this car is nowhere to be found.
