I'm pretty sure you have a stock cam. I think all of the pre motronic cams have a cast in P/N that ends in 057, regardless if they are a 2500, 2800, 530i or 528i cam, all of which are different. There are no identifying numbers or anything that I know of, but the lift is different and you can identify it by that, I think I still have enough manuals to identify it if you want and can mic it out. The stock 78 would have been (I think) a 272 and the later 528i was 260 but with more lift. Hope this helps.
