The blocks are easy, they seem to add bolt holes to newer ones but not remove any. I know at least thru the late 80's, the M30B34 engine will bolt up with no problems, I think the later M30b35 also does but not positive. One small problem is the water feed for the auto choke that comes off the intake side of the block towards the back, above the starter. You may have to drill and tap it for the fitting for the 8MM hose but that is no big deal. The heads are all about the same but the motronic cam has a different nose on it that won't drive the distributor, however I hear an adapter piece is still available that screws on. If it's a later head, it probably won't be drilled for a fuel pump push rod so you would need a electric fuel pump. Hope this helps. Mike
