I'm finding my own parts/creating my own/making my own manifold adapter. Here are the cost.

1) Two excellent used RHB5 IHI fast spooling turbos complete with waste gate, down pipes, all oil and water fittings, ALL flanges!, etc. $120
2) Two used Sabb intercoolers $60
3) All the used intercooler and turbo cooler plumbing and fittings I want. $15
4) 6 used, additional m30 injectors, connectors, fuel rail, pressure regulator $10
5) Used e28 Bosch fuel pump assembly $10
6) New aftermarket mappable ECU for 6 additional injector $350
7) Copper head gasket Make it myself $20 purchase $100 ($200+ padeco, they stole a used TR6 engine from me)
8) mig welder with extra wire, etc. $250 (harbor freight sale)
9) welded pipe fittings for manifold adapters FREE
10) OEM used BMW engine oil cooling kit $151.11
ebay
11) pipe for intercooler, exhaust - I have not bought it yet
12) bungs for 6 additional injectors, Free or $60 If I get fancy.
13) machine work for bungs free if I GET FANCY OR NOT.
14) various gasket - not yet purchased.
15) Sabb APC $10
16) Labor/design - free, me.
17) 2 limited slip diff's to play with $80
18) O2 sensor free
19) air/fuel meter - use volt ohm - free, buy dedicated meter $35
20) boost gauge , used, $5


Total - $1196.11 including the new Mig welder.


I will not have the lag problem of a single large turbo. My turbo's are common, parts are cheap. Have you priced 745i kkk turbo costs! I get to have a new Mig! I get to have an expandable after market fuel ECU (mappable!). I get to have knock contol that automatically seeks a boost of up to 14 constantly. If I don't like the power of just twin turbo, I can a mild dose of NOS, more injectors for fuel demand. I've spent so little, I can add programable ignition and still be under $2000.
