Hi

i've just swapped water pumps and find that i still have a leak. Bummer. The pumps have two small holes in their body proper, adjacent to where the narrow bit of the pump housing (that is at the front, but anterior to the pulley), flares out to provide for the impellor etc. These 'holes' are visible only from outside the pump, are of slightly different sizes (say, 3mm & 5mm), and are located at approx. 6 and 9 o'clock. i shoved a drill bit down them and reamed out all manner of gunge. They seem quite deep. Does anyone know what they are for and how, if at all, they are 'managed'?

Thanks y'all
