Well, depends what your looking for.....
The 330 will obviously perform better--smaller car, same engine, more nimble, etc. But if you want to carry four adults your probably gonna want the 5.
If you do any autocrossing, or driver's schools, stuff like that, the 330 will be more fun but if the majority of what your going to do with the car is haul around family or run to work, the 530 will give you more room.

Hoping to get some feedback from long time BMW drivers. I am considering buying either a:
2001 530i w/ premium package and really very few other options, 9,000 miles, in excellent condition. Asking price is $39,800.

OR

buying a new 2002 330i exactly how I would like it equipped at roughly $41,000 from my local dealer.

Which is the better value, performs better, etc? I have read reviews for both and most are glowing. Any feedback would be appreciated.
