528i head interchangeability (archive)

I need to get another cylinder head for my '79 528i.
I went to the local recycler today who lets the customers
pick and remove the parts themselves. I found a 3.0
motor whose head looks identical to my 2.8 . Anybody know
what heads will fit the 2.8 ? Thanks in advance, Steve
