72 thru 79 (80 if you count the 633) used the same 4-speed getrag. A Bavaria, 5 or 6 series tranny will work, they are all the same. The 7 used a electronic speedo so I don't think they had a speedo drive so I wouldn't use one of them. Since it is a rugged transmission they should be cheap and plentyful, but not necessairly where you are. Isn't that always the way. Hope this helps,
