On the good side, I have the dyno sheet showing 139 hp and 158ft lbs at the rear wheels. Feels every bit of that! Without all the power/luxury stuff I’ve been told the weight is 2,800 lbs or so. I’ve never weighed it so this is only hear say. It feels very light and nimble and has the typical euro version feel.
Other details:
2.8 ltr M30 with early style injection and ignition
Probably has (never been there to see for myself) 9.5:1 pistons and factory performance cam of some sort.
5speed with weak 2nd gear syncro (been this was as long as I’ve owned the car. As long as you don’t need to power shift into second it works just fine.)
15” wheels with near new Yokahamas
3.25 l/s from an ‘87
True Euro lighting including both city lights and rear fogs
No air conditioning
Bilstien standard shocks/struts.
Newer rear axles (30K miles )
Exhaust is in good condition
No power windows, seats, door locks, OBC, cruise, maid service, etc. etc. (Those things weight to much anyway and just break down over time. (See how many post(?)s on the board about OBC fixes)).
Gauges all work. I have the US speedo in place right now, but also have the 240k version if you so desire.
Not installed but included: 3 gauge VDO set that mounts in place of the ash tray.
The blue carpet is in fair to less than perfect shape
Dash: Typical cracks.
Blaupunkt CD
It does have leather comfort seats in average or better condition.
Take a look Brad's E28 Gallery, page 23 (http://www.fatdaddybmw.com/gallery23.html) for an exterior shot. I’ll be able to send more pictures if you’re interested. Email me with questions.
Thanks
