a 1981 (Best year made BTW), absolutely rust-free, needs paint over factory finish, decent interior, runs like a top, 220K miles with regular service history, gets 24MPG hwy, new CD player, new windshield, new carpet, straight body. $1000. Car is sold and buyer to pick up next week.

These cars are plentiful and rust-free examples are available if you are willing to go looking. It's doubtful they will ever be worth much, since they are so hardy and so many of them still exist. I typically pay from $200 to 1000 for rust-free cars from broken to cars like this one at $1000. That's what I paid... passing the deal along.

I would never consider a car with rust and rust repair as anything other than a $200 parts car, and then only if it ran good and transmission worked. I am firm in these views. I buy 3-5 of these cars a year and they are not that hard to find. Most of the cars I buy come from within 200 to 300 miles, with the majority of them right here in our little 50K community.

Unless you want it for parts... Pass.
