E28 and e12 seats are interchangeable - my 76 530i leather seats wound up in an 83 528e. You could get sport seats out of a 533 or 535, also 630 and 633 seats will fit but may be too low for you. E21 320i sport seats also fit but do you really want vinyl ? E30 318/325 seats also fit but may require modifications to the slider rails.
