It all depends what year, is it a three or four speed tranny? While it is a lot of miles on an A/T if it is a three speed it could still have a fair ammount left. If it is a 4 speed auto and it hasn't been rebuilt already, it is probably close. 120 to 180 seems to be the typical number I hear for the 4-speed auto's. I do have a 83 733 with (I think) the original tranny (3-speed) with 253k on it and it still works well.
