Two different cars..... in my opinion the E12 is the better car in US form (bosch L-jet over K-jet fuel injection).The E21 4 cylinder cars always needed more power for me.....

The euro 323 was much closer to the same feel as the euro 528i E12. Of course the M535i upped the anti when BMW installed the 220hp big six....which made the E12 into a true worldclass sports sedan.

Just decide which you prefer 2 or 4 doors they are both good cars.
