Door Lock Cylinder Removal (archive)

anybody know how to remove the door lock (the one which the key goes into) from the lock mechanism assembly. I've taken the lock retaining ring off of it, and can push it out thru the hole but because i have a bracket in front i cant see how to remove it from the assembly. Im doing an R&R of of the lock mechanism assembly and would like some assistance. thanks
