E12 535i. Was this a car that was was originally an e12 528 or 530 that was converted to a 3.5 liter and called a 535i by the PO who converted it. Or, is a European car. Reason, I ask is that it has always been my understanding that the 12 body only came in 2.8 and 3 liter. The only car that came in that body with a 3.5 was the M535i, which would make this a very special car. Or, is it more likely that you are looking at an e28 535i which would make it about an 85 model? Either way, if it's truly an e12 based M535i, it would be a phenomenal boneyard find, and if I found it, it would be a cold day in Hell before I'd be offering any parts off the car.
