My dad recently bought a '02 330xi and now wants to do some serious modifications to his '82 528e. He wants to do brakes, suspensions, engine mods (blower or turbo?). He went to a Dinan dealer and didn't seem to be much available, so he asked me for help. I've looked around and I'm wondering if it might be a better idea to transplant an older M motor and computer into his car. Can anyone direct me to some tuners in the northwest or west coast that do this sort of thing? Any suggestions on suspension / large brakes that work well on this year? He's willing to put 17" wheels and tires on to accomidate larger brakes.
He lives in Idaho, so I don't think emissions / smog testing is an issue.
