Yesterday, for the first time since August, I drove my fully functional '83 320i home!!! It's suffered a rash of simultaneous problems in the past several months - as I fixed one, two more would pop up. A 2 month stay in a shop that didn't know $&#* didn't help, either. But I bit the bullet, took it to another shop, and they knew what they were doing - had it back to me in less than a week, all fixed! I've been driving my Saturn SC2 in the meantime, which itself is a nice car (faster than my 320i in autocrosses). But I took Igor to work today, and realized that I'd forgotten the joy of driving a BMW. A quick convoy with an E36 325is I got behind was fun, as was practicing Zen and the art of driving sideways around the snowy parking lot! You just can't do that in a car with the drive wheels on the wrong end...

So anyway, I just wanted to share. You're E21 people - I'm sure you understand. :)
