: It's definitely a V8. You can count the plug wires and see that the carb/intake is inbetween the valve covers. I'd guess that's is a Ford small block with the dist. in the front, although its at a funny angle. Small block Ford's are not all that big and a little easier to fit into small engine bays because the V is narrower than Chevy's. Usually, the exhaust is the challenge with engine swaps like this.
