Hello,

I have a 315 (1.8) E21. Same problem on first day, so I got a second hand hazard light switch, glued the thing shut (meaning no more hazard light) and the turn signals are then ok.

Today, my battery died and I changed a new one. The alarm (semi-disconnected) went off, blinking the hazard lights again even when I switch off the engine. So I yanked out the connectors to the alarm and that took the mechanic 3 seconds while I searched for one-reliable mechanic for 2 hours. And it was FOC.
Gave me more confidence that local mechanics are not all money-rippers.

Check the connectors to your central locking and alarm system (if applicable).

Regards,
Hock Ann
