I just installed a kit of weber DCOE 40 kit from Bavarian which required porting the head to install. Any way I did it, now I can't tune them, the 316 car accelerates great but only in flat straight roads, as soon as you start climbing a hill you are forced to use 2nd and 1st gears. Idling is totally erratic.

is there any special procedure for tuning these carbs?
I got the haynes weber manual, does not help too much.

Does the distributor affect that much sidedrafts? with the 32/36 DGAV it worked pretty fine.

Any advice will be greatly apreciated.
